Hello newcomer! Welcome to Astral Academy; a play-by-post role-play that's set in a school full of gifted students with the powers of the twelve signs of the zodiac at their disposal. If you're interested in joining register and check out our guidelines.

The year is 2015 & individuals have been blessed by the cosmos, granted power by the twelve constellations of the Zodiac but before they can be entrusted with their powers in the outside world they must first learn how to control and utilize their powers.

    There are twelve Astral Powers that correspond to the twelve Zodiac Signs. These powers have variations and unique Abilities that are only limited by the player's imagination. Bear in mind that your character's Rank and Class of his/her techniques will determine which is superior to the other. These Astral Powers are listed below:

    Aries

    Fire Manipulation: Users can excite or speed up an object's atoms, increasing their thermal energy making it ignite, not necessarily objects, but also air particles. They can control and move the flames, including the shape, heat and even color; that said, pretty much everything with this power comes down to burning. This ability is also useful against those who possess Air Manipulation or Oxygen Manipulation as oxygen from the air can be used to make flames stronger. This is very aggressive power as well as one of the strongest, allowing several powerful attacks, but it is some ways the most vulnerable as well, given than fire doesn't exist in itself and needs other elements.

    Drawbacks: The power, duration, range and overall effectiveness is dependent on character Class/Rank.

    Taurus

    Enhanced Strength: Users have incredible ability to defy weight limitations. Dense, lengthy, or overweight items are easy to move and simple to use in nearly any manner. Users can crush, lift, throw, or catch items of any weight. Some users could lift whole buildings or perhaps even a planet.

    Drawbacks: Basic Abilities can only involve lifting twice the user's own weight. Advanced Abilities enable the user to lift up cars to trucks, buses, and trucks of great size. Master Abilities enable users to lift heavier structures from battleships to massive aircrafts. Ultimate Abilities enable the user to lift skyscraper size structures and being capable of moving mountainous figures at top strength. Cosmic Abilities enable the user to use incalculable strength.


    Gemini

    Replication: Users can instantly and perfectly replicate themselves and or targets which can be objects or living beings, numerous times. Most users have both of these abilities, also their clothes are often copied along with their body. Some also have the ability to remove their copies as quickly as they were made. Biological properties are exactly the same, however, each copy will have different experiences and may gain independent personalities over time. Copies always cooperate because they posses the same minds and goals.

    Drawbacks: Basic Abilities can be used with a maximum of five copies. Advanced Abilities can be used with a maximum of twenty copies. Master Abilities can be used with a maximum of thirty-five copies. Ultimate Abilities can be used with a maximum of fifty copies. Cosmic Abilities can be used with a maximum of one-hundred copies.

    Cancer

    Water Manipulation: The user can control, generate and/ absorb liquids, moving and shaping bodies of water to the user's desire: lifting, parting or otherwise manipulating its form and/or density. Water can easily serve as a weapon, either by shaping into gigantic whips, swung repeatedly at a target as a snake-like body, formed into a razor-sharp edge that can cut through even metal, or simply dropped to smother opponent or put out a fire. On the sea or ocean, user can create several natural phenomena related to water, such as: whirlpools, waterspouts, tidal waves, etc.

    Leo

    Illusion Manipulation: User can trick people into perceiving unreal things, illusions are not tangible, but can be very realistic to subjects. There are several ways illusions can be created, for example Sense Manipulation, Hypnosis or by Light Manipulation. Some users can create complex and detailed worlds, others may be able to only alter the way they or the target are perceived.

    Virgo

    Precognition: Users have the ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.

    Drawbacks: The power, duration, range and overall effectiveness is dependent on character Class/Rank.

    Libra

    Air Manipulation: Users can manipulate air molecules to create winds of any strength, including tornadoes, and even siphon the air out of others lungs. They are able to generate breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, zephyrs, gales, tempests, and hurricanes.

    Drawbacks: The power, duration, range and overall effectiveness is dependent on character Class/Rank.

    Scorpio

    Telekinesis: Users can manipulate/move objects with their mind. Telekinesis is one of the basis of many superpowers that are based of "controlling/manipulating", it may evolve to the point that a Telekinetic can control anything at a subatomic level.

    Drawbacks: The power, duration, range and overall effectiveness is dependent on character Class/Rank.

    Sagittarius

    Enhanced Perception: Users have eyes enhanced to see with amazing clarity, distance, or color, perhaps even in a different spectrum of light or into another dimension. Some may users may even upgrade to Heat Vision or X-Ray Vision. User can perceive things in a more detailed manner. In battle User can see incoming attacks and quickly find a way to dodge said attacks.

    Drawbacks: The power, duration, range and overall effectiveness is dependent on character Class/Rank. Lower ranks are more limited to the different vision-types available to them.

    Capricorn

    Earth Manipulation: User can move, shape and otherwise manipulate any "Earthen" elements including most solid objects, specifically all minerals and mineral compositions regardless of their state (mountain, boulder, sand or dust), dirt and soil as well as bones although most wont be able to manipulate bones of living beings. Some users may have fine enough control to create/shape complicated objects.

    Aquarius

    Telepathy: The ability falls into two categories, Telepathic Communication, which is the ability to transmit information from mind to another, and Telepathic Perception, which is the ability to receive information from another mind.

    Pisces

    Shapeshifting: The user can shapeshift their form, transforming and reshaping down to the genetic and cellular structure. They can impersonate others or enhance one's body to combat, either by turning into animal, monsters or make the body stronger. Users with particularly flexible abilities can manipulate their form at will, combining abilities, traits, etc, even being able to form limbs into weapons and reforming after being blown apart by explosives.
